At VEGAS.com, I had the opportunity to be part of a rebranding and website redesign for the largest travel website in the world.
While they may no longer be “the largest travel website in the world,” at the time, there were very few location-specific travel sites and almost none with their own booking engine. VEGAS.com began as an informational site owned by the media group behind the Las Vegas Sun. During my four years as Creative Manager, we went through explosive growth, bringing in new management that guided the company toward becoming a full e-commerce presence with an in-house call center.
At that point, we coded sites and email marketing campaigns by hand, and I was part of the team designing interfaces and building pages using HTML and CSS.
As we became a more robust tech company, my role shifted toward UI design and marketing as we rebranded the company and redesigned the entire site to accommodate travel and event booking.
My responsibilities included: brand design and management, HTML/CSS coding, email design and management, digital advertising design and management, print design for ads and promotional products.
